The Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory (NREL) within NC State/UNC Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking for two research assistants (RAs) in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Biomedical Engineering. The RAs will conduct research related to 1) prosthetic arm control, and 2) learning control policy for robotic lower limb prostheses.
Highly motivated graduate students, who are currently in the Ph.D. program at ECE, MAE, CS, or BME, are encouraged to apply. Students with one or more following background and skills are preferred.
• Signal processing; machine learning
• Control
• Mechatronics and robotics
• Human biomechanics
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
