The Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory (NREL) within NC State/UNC Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking for two research assistants (RAs) in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Biomedical Engineering. The RAs will conduct research related to 1) prosthetic arm control, 2) optimal adaptive control of wearable robots, and 3) fault tolerance control for wearables.
Highly motivated students are encouraged to apply. Students with one or more following background and skills are preferred.
• Control and dynamics
• Signal processing; machine learning
• Mechatronics and robotics
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
